KCR to showcase Mission Bhagiratha to Narendra Modi

After giving a power point presentation on irrigation projects and their redesigning in the Assembly, Chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to give another power point presentation on Mission Bhagiratha project, it's functioning, and benefits during prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana to inaugurate various development projects.

Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Mission Bhagiratha in Gajwel in Medak district when he visits Telangana on Augusts 7.

The ongoing works on mission Bhagiratha (water grid) at Kadam project was shot, using drone cameras by the experts came from Hyderabad at the behest of top irrigation department officials.

Deputy Engineer of the Kadam water grid Venkatapathi, who supervised the shooting said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would use this footage  in a power point presentation, showing Mission Bhagiratha’s  implementation at various places in the state, during PM’s visit.

Work on the Kadam water grid was taken up at a cost of Rs 400 crore. The TS government has been appealing to the Centre for special funds for flagship programs, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya, the PM’s visit serving as the ideal occasion to showcase these projects. It would draw attention to the scheme and justify the seeking of funds.

TRS turn tech savvy for GHMC

'No more power cuts! A promise fulfilled’ and ‘Uninterrupted power supply’ is an advertisement issued by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) through Google Ads as part of its campaign for GHMC elections.

It is said that TRS is the first political party which used such e- advertisements as part of election campaign in the state. It seems that TRS has pinned lot of hopes on ‘power supply’ to win the elections.        

TRS which is taking much about the information technology and ‘Telangana Hub’ to encourage the ‘Start ups’ under the leadership of IT Minister K.T Ramarao took the e- mode of election campaign to attract Netizens as their number is high as voters in the elections being held for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The ruling TRS government adopted modern communication methods to reach out the voters in addition to the traditional elections campaign methods such as putting up posters, flexies and door to door campaign appealing the people for votes.

Google ads appeared on the various e- news papers appealing the people to vote for TRS by claiming that it has fulfilled the promise to supply uninterrupted power.

The ads were designed with Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s photo, symbol of Car and appealing for vote for car and electricity towers and Charminar and statue of Buddha in Hussain Sagar. 

On the other hand, supporters of TRS campaigned on social networking sites in support of TRS in the GHMC elections.

Jodeghat to get global design

The allocation of Rs 25 crore in Telangana sate’s first budget for the construction of the freedom fighter Koamaram Bheem’s memorial and other structures at historical Jodeghat in Kerameri mandal has raised the hope of the people of the district.

The engineering officials of ITDA, Utnoor, and district tourism department have show in their design for tribal museum, tribal cultural hub and tourism centre at Jodeghat to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was not happy with the design.

District Tourism Officer V. Ravi Kumar told this newspaper that Mr Rao was not satisfied with their design and assured them to send a top architect   from Hyderabad to Jodeghat to come out with a best design of international standard of the proposed project.

The total project will be taken up without disturbing the scenic beauty, said Mr Ravi Kumar and added that an available land would be acquired without touching the tree the in the forest.

He hoped that an architect would be send to the district in connection to project soon. The district administration has identified 80 acres of land at Jodeghat for the project and among them only 50 acres belonged to government, while the remaining 30 acre patta land belonged to Adivasis.

It is learnt that district officials sent proposals to CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Telangana) seeking permission for acquisition of patta land from the Adivasis and payment of suitable compensation.

The state government had issued GO No .87 sanctioning Rs 25 crore for Komaram Bheem’s memorial project and allocated the same in the first state budget.

The government allocated Rs 25 crore under ST sub- plan for the construction of the memorial, tribal cultural hub and tourism centre.
