Ministers busy honing English language skills

Some of the Ministers in the state are busy in improving their English language and communication skills these days to meet the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s expectations. Some of the Ministers have started learning English language undergoing training by tutor.

During a recent Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly suggested the ministers to have minimum knowledge of English language so that they can communicate better with their officials and speak confidently on subjects related to welfare schemes, development activities initiated by the state government at the international and national forums. 

Minister for forest and environment Jogu Ramanna said “He too realized the importance of having minimum knowledge of English language and communication skills in English for better interaction with people. It felt so particularly during my tours and while attending national and international workshops and conferences”.

Jogu Ramanna said it is true that during the Cabinet meeting, the CM had stressed upon need to have minimum knowledge of English language and English communications skills but added that CM never for once said it is a must.

The minister revealed that he is making efforts to improve his English language and communication skills with the help of a tutor and added he did so before too after being elected as MLA first time in 2009 but could not continue  learning due to time constrains. 

He said he is much more serious this time.It is learnt that some other ministers also making the efforts to improve their English language and communication skills.
