The state government is likely to use the share
meant for education from MPLADS, MLC, MLA, and Constituency Development Fund
(CDF) to create infrastructure and facilities in government schools and
colleges to strengthen them in the state.
It is estimated that Rs 310 crore is required for creating
infrastructure and facilities to meet the critical gaps in the government
schools in order to strengthen them in the Adilabad district.
The state government is conducting meetings with all
the public representatives and officials concerned to take steps to strengthen
the school and college education.
Efforts are being made to create infrastructure including toilets, science labs, libraries, water sumps, dual desks, bathrooms, bio- meters and school buildings. A many as 111 government schools got SSC 100 pass percentage during 2015-16 in the Adilabad.
Collector M. Jagan Mohan said state government is
making efforts to get the education share from the funds being allotted to MLC,
MLA, MPLAD, Constituency development fund (CDF) and stressed upon set up libraries
in all the government and running them properly to inculcate reading habits
among the children.
He said they were also trying to get funds from Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of Nabard to create infrastructure in
the government educational institutions and added that education is the main
index in the development.

Srihari is convening review meetings with MLA, MP, MLCs and officials concerned
in all the districts to seek their support in terms of funds towards
strengthening education and suggestions to strengthen school and college
education.
Ten MLAs promised to contribute Rs 1 crore each from their funds and state government will give Rs 3 crore as matching grant, which will, comes to Rs 40 crore.
